Background on Jeffery L. Turk, Sr.

I was Airborne (Air Force) Chinese linguist, 1200 hours combat/combat support flying hours. Did short stint in support of the Evacuation and also in support of the Gulf. Continued in the Air Force for a total of 20 years, ending up 80% disabled (30% PTSD, the rest physical). Cane or sticks almost all the time now, blind in one eye, lost my hearing, skeletal problems, and severe headaches from the skeletal problems.

Decortions include: AF Commendation Medal (4), Presidential Unit citation, Outstanding Unit (w/Valor = 7 times), Organizational Excellence, Combat Readiness Medal, Occupation Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, National Defense (2) Vietnam Service/Campain, Gulf war stuff, AF Crew Wings, and Combat Crew Badge (plus about a zillion of little AF ribbons like Good Conduct, Longevity, Professional military education and the like - All told, one ribbon short of seven rows of three).

Bio: Divorced, single parent
Eldest daughter (Raminah) is in the AF, Hickam AFB, HI, and eldest son, (Jefferey Jr.) is, as of 19 August, 1996, wearing Army green.
