To me, he is a testament...


While working in the pentagon, in the basement, I observed Mr Puller almost on a daily basis. I remember the dignity that he exuded as others got on the elevator and saw him in his wheel chair.

I knew he had gone through something, and I wish I had the nerve to talk to him. I didn't want him to feel that I was feeling sorry for him; quite the contrary, I felt he had more than me.

I served (Air Force) two tours in Vietnam and one tour in South East Asia (Thailand). But, I never suffered the sacrifices that he did. To me, he is a testament to the bravery and gut-will that it takes to go on after so much tragedy. God bless him.
