From Tom Mahoney:

Bub Parrish gave me the address to the VVHP's Arts of War Gallery. I very
much enjoyed the visit and am surprised I had never seen it before. I was
an Army helicopter crewchief and now am an aviation artist with a primary
focus on military helicopters. My question to you is whether or not a
person has to be a Vietnam veteran in order to submit their work? I've
attached a recent picture that was dedicated to a buddy of mine who was
killed in his Apache entitled "Thunder in the Storm". All of the helos I
illustrate are done with pen and ink by a tedious process called
pointillism - thousands of tiny dots carefully placed on the board to
develop a picture. I reproduce them in limited edition on archival quality
coverstock.
I just started my helicopter art last June. Although only 4 helicopters in
my gallery are Vietnam era aircraft, my goal is to eventually illustrate
every helicopter from every branch of service. I'm thrilled to have the
opportunity recently for some of my helicopter prints go to several Vietnam
helicopter unit reunions. If you care to see more, please visit the gallery
on my homepage:http://www.aircav.org/If you're
interested in seeing one of my brochures, I would gladly send you one.

All of the illustrations were done by hand, they are not computer generated.  Each picture was created using a drawing technique called pointillism or stipling, comprising thousands of tiny ink dots carefully placed on the board by the artist.
All illustrations are printed on archival quality 80 lb. lustrodull coverstock.  Each print is personally inspected, signed and numbered by the artist, and comes with its own certificate of authenticity.  All of the illustrations have been reproduced in limited edition quantity of 2,000.
