Message is: David Prendergast is trying to Locate and maintaining a data base for all MOS 7011 Marines that served in Chu Lai, MABS-12, MAG-12, 1st MAW. So far he has concentrated on the time when he was there. He has gotten about 98% of allthe 7011s that served at Chu Lai while he was there. He now is expanding his search to the remaining time Chu Lai MABS-12 was in existance. Also in 1994 Agroup of the former 7011s decided to establish an organization for former 7011 Marines. Thus the formation of the SATS/EAF Association. We have an anual meeting each year and we generally alternmate coasts to allow max interest/paricipation. This year the meeting will be at Fort Lauderdale Fl in Mid September. Next years meeting will be in San Francisco. I dont know if you remeber me but my name is Stanley Gluza I was a CPL when you met me in Beaufort in early 1968. We went TAD to Bouge Field with SSgt Swigart and SSGT Powell. He was attached to a unit with the 1stMarDiv operating near Hoi An, Ban Thach, Duy Phuoc Village, Duy Thanh, Duy Vinh, and Duy Nghia. He was last seen on 05/29/67 when his boat tipped over in the Song Thu Bon River during heavy enemy fire. He was never found and declared MIA. Family wants to find anyone who was with him on that day. They want closure, and the US Gov. can't help them. I have copy of investigations by DPMO, but nothing has been found...investigation continues.

He was working at a hardware store in Port Richmond on Richmond Ave. or Richmond Terrace. Unfortunately, whatever happened to Georgie while in the service of his country or perhaps some sort of accident later on, prevented him from knowing either my sister or father.
