Message is: Last saw Russ on the rock. He was leaving as member of recon plt attached to 2/3 on float that lead to hill battles. I was in recon plt attached to 3/4 just coming onto rock for training. Russ was 1 of 8 of us sent on orders together from the S-2 Bn scout section of 3/8 at CLNC. Russ turned 18 just before we shipped out so he would have been born in late 1948. Message is: I am looking for someone that served with my brother PFC Timothy E. Owens. He was 18 years old at the time of his death, it was during the Tet Offensive 68. His service no. was 2377785, was missing in action about a week and then we were notified that he died in action. His body was sent home in a closed casket and we never saw it during his funeral. I was in the Army in Korea at the time and went home on an emergency leave, my ETS was June 1969. I re-enlisted in the Texas Army National Guard in Apr 1985 as a full time supply sergeant. I was still unable to get a grip on his death until now, I hope someone from his unit or served with him will see this note and get back with me.

Message is: I am attempting to locate friends stationed with the 1st MAW, MAG-12, MABS-12, (SATS) MOS 7011 from Jan. 1967 through Feb., 1968. I was a lance corporal, and lived on the beach side of the airfield. I practice law in northern California, Humboldt County, and I would sure enjoy hooking up with those who served in Chu Lai at the same time. Events remain vivid, but the names are hard to remember.
