Message is: The above Marines may have known Sgt. George W. Storz (KIA Mar. 8, 1968) while he was their Platoon leader at Khe Sanh and may know details of his death. Recently we have learned of some writings attributed to him and kept by a Corporal (Thomason?) until 1983 when he gave them to Bernie Claus in Anchorage, Alaska. The former corporal claimed to have been with Sgt. Storz on a rescue mission to Con Thien when he was killed there, not at Khe Sanh. We are anxious to speak to anyone who knows anything at all about the circumstances of George's death. Also, the son who was born 2 months after he was killed needs to talk to someone who knew what his father was like.

Message is: We are seeking former Marine Sgt. John C. (for Charles) Butler, Vietnam Vet who was based in Key West Fla in 1966; Vietnam in 1967 & 1968; Embassy Guard duty after Vietnam. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in approximately 1961 or 1962. He was 23 years old when he commanded a marine corps civil action company and led a small force attempting to rescue a patrol that was ambused 2,000 yards outside Phuc Thuam 20 miles south of ChuLaii, Vietnam. He was joined by a nearby company of the 7th regiment. Lt. Col. Bill Corson was head of the Civic action program. John came from a 'large & active family who resided in Roseland, southside area of Chicago, Il.. He had a sister named Pamela Butler (Johansen). Message is: I am looking for a soldier who was in Hue during the Tet Offensive at the end of January l968. He managed to make his way to the European compound at Le Loi road and the bridge across the canal near the railroad station. German doctors who lived in the compound took him in and hid him in their apartment building and gave him food. I think his name is Thomas Jefferson,and I think he is black. I am the daughter of the couple (there were three doctors and the wife of one) and would be curious to find out whether this man is still alive and what he remembers of his brief encounter with my parents. They were later taken away from the apartment by the Viet Cong and shot. Their deaths have nothing to do with the fact that they helped the American soldier.
