Message is: Lonnie Sheppard grew up in Newark, NJ and graduated from South South High School in June 1966. He entered the Marines in September 1966. His basic training was at Parris Island, SC. From there he went to the Carribean. In September 1967 he was shipped to Vietnam. He was trapped in the Siege at Khe Sahn. On June 6, 1968 he was killed in Quang Tri Province. He was a Lance Corporal at the time of his death. He was 19 when he died. I would like to speak with anyone who served with him.
