Message is: I am looking to find anyone who might have information about my father, Paul G. Wargula, throughout his time at Ton Son Nhut Airbase from 1970 - 1971. He would have been working on the base itself, from what I know he would have been maintaining aircraft, his best friend in training went by the name of "Cubby" and upon discharge he was a SSgt. I am planning on writing a book about aspects of my father's life, and a significant part of it is consisting of myself taking a trip to Vietnam to try to visualize what he may have seen, thought or experienced, with a comparison between then and now. He had never really gone into detail, and all I have to draw from are great boxes of memorabilia; pictures, letters, medals, old stars and stripes issues, etc... and details from my Mother's memories. Message is: If you were "in country" it is now assumed that you were exposed to "Dioxins". There is a list on the VA website indicating illnesses associated with dioxin exposure. Check it out. The VA has it on authority that dioxins are a contributor to type 2 Diabetes. They have a poster on the wall to this extent. I found this out during a visit about a symptom related to diabetes that I have. Fortunately for me I am not diabetic. However, if you are suffering from this plight on your life you should be recompensed. Go to the VA and talk to them.

The missions were not documented and combat credit was not given, according to a memorandum from Col. Eugene Hurst to 315th Division.
