Message is: I would like to hear from anyone that I served with in Viet Nam. I was at Tan Son Nhut from Sep 67 to Dec 67. Bien Hoa Dec 67 to Jan 68. Went TDY to 22TASS for 8 1/2 mos. Lived in Hotel IV in Can Tho. I was with the Pack Rats. We had 19 sites in the Delta and I visited each one at least once. I have just contacted one buddy from Bien Hoa and that is the first contact I have had. How about a 505th reunion? I would really like to hear from Tomas N (Nate) McDaniel, Sgt Olgivie, Harvey Herric from Grand Haven MI,Maj William T. Misencik, Msgt Layton and anyone that remembers seeing me in the Delta. I have no record that I was TDY and I need it badly. I would like to establish contact with any of the old Pack Rats or Radio Operators that I met there. I was later a ROMAD in the Air Guard for 21yrs. If the Col. at the SOCC in Can Tho remembers me comming to his office in civies and a stubby M16 and threatening his Radio Operators for using shutting off speakers and only picking up t! he head sets occasionaly, I would like to hear from him. Also the Navy Riverine PBR crew that took me from Sadec to Cau Laun in about May 20th 68. I am trying to establish service for a VA claim, but that aside I would still like hear from you guys. I retired from the Air Force with the rank of Captain in 1974 with a 100% disability. I went to work for a coal company in West Virginia; Arco Oil and Gas Company in Anchorage,AK; back to WV and the coal company; and finally with the State of West Virginia Department of Transportation, Division of Highways as a District Right of Way Agent. In October I retired from the State, went on Social Security, and do some contract property acquisition work on the side. I am enjoying the "retired life".
