Message is: I am looking for anyone who may have served with or known my Uncle. He was in the service 10 years prior to his death and in Vietnam 6 months. He was shot down Jan. 13, 1967, crashed on land in South Vietnam, Phouc Tuy Province. He was a Captain & flew F-100-D's. He was 30 years old. Serial # 3080990, birthday Sept. 9, 1936. He was from Kansas City, Mo. & had 5 brothers. His wife, Shizuko (Mori) Turley was originally from Japan if that jogs a memory. I am told he loved to fly & wanted to be where the action was. I have found out that he flew F-100D # 563-448 and that this plane was assigned to the 352nd Tactical Fighter Squadron, 35th Tactical Fighter Wing. He was at Phan Rang Air Base, South Vietnam and in the states was at Myrtle Beach Air Force Base. Unfortunately the base has since closed down and I'm still looking for more information.
