When I first arrived in Vietnam, there were only maybe 3 or 4 Personnel folks at Bien Hoa (SSgt McCoy, myself and another SSgt and TSgt that I do not remember by name. SSgt McCoy arrived at Bien Hoa with me - but, later was reassigned to Tan Son Nhut AB in Saigon.) Finally, a CMSgt Crow complained of standing outside in the heat for too long of a time while trying to process in. This led to many changes being made in the Personnel Department. One major change came in the structure of a large open building which became the Consolidated Base Personnel Office (CBPO). In December, 1965, and January, 1966, many 732X0s and 701X0s begain to arrive at Bien Hoa. In the beginning, I was the only Personnel Specialist available on base. This changed rapidly. When I left in Sep '65, there were many aboard. So - how about it "Baby Huey", Hume and Litchfield - where are you now?

Would love to hear from Rooney (of Detroit) who arrived in Japan with me aboard the USS Gen J. C. Message is: Looking for James "Baby" Kidd, who is now most likely retired from the Air Force. I last seen Jimmy at Torrejon AB, Spain, (summer of '60) when he called me at the Radar Site in Villatobas(871 AC&W). He learned from my younger brother that I was over there - and, at the time, he was a Radio Operator (293X0) aboard some General's plane. I made the 50 mile trip to Torrejon the next day and spent the night on the plane with then SSgt Kidd and some of the other crew members.
