Message is: I am looking for Captain William R. Gabel, who was involved in a B-52 mid air collision off the coast of South Vietnam on July 7, 1967. Captain Gabel was the navigator on the B-52D tail number 56-595. Seven crew members survived and six were unaccounted for. My Father Captain David F. Bittenbender was the EWO on tail number 56-595 along with Major General William J. Crumm and Major Paul A. Avolese, all are still unaccouted for. It is my understanding that Capt.
