Message is: I'm looking for Sgt Alonzo J. Coggins who fought during the Battle for Saigon during the Tet Offensive. He was one of four individuals fighting from bunker 051 (an old French Bunker)that was overrun my a reinforced regiment of NVA/VC attempting to take Tan Son Nhut AB. The other three individuals were killed and received the silver star medal. Sgt Coggins was badly injured, played dead while communist forces fought from bunker 051. During the eight-hour battle, Sgt Coggins endured a terrible ordeal. In the morning, prior to a counter-attack by security police, Sgt Coggins either escaped or was released by his captors. I'm trying to locate him. To my knowledge he did not receive any official recognition for his heroism or sacrifice. Thanks!
