Information Updates from the Spring, 2000
In May of 2000, I received the following message in our continuation of the investigation:
** Rossie -
As promised I went up to the Revolutionary Museum to check up on the plaque for you. It is not in any dominant position, [and in fact] it is no longer there and when I asked about its whereabouts I was told it had been taken away for "some work", what work one could do on a solid brass plaque weighing around 20 kg and in perfect condition I could not imagine. I guess you[r] efforts to have it put back in its rightful place has stirred some response and it might be a case of "out of sight, out of mind" **.
So as the matter stands, the Plaque has simply disappeared from the display, apparently removed by the Vietnamese authorities.
I will continue to report as news on this item comes in.
