This gallery contains poems relating to the experiences of the men of the 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion who served in the Vietnam War from 1961 to 1971. However, the poems themselves are not limited the time of war, but are about dying, living, and surviving. Some are celebrations, some are laments. And others are simply about living. Each one contains some small or large part of the soul of the writer... and of the reader.
