Message is: I'm attempting to help a British person locate information on his farther who was lost over Germany during WWII. This person never new who his farther was until a couple of months agao. Upon the death of his mother he received word who his real farther was. I've been helping him to locate information on his farther. So far we know that he was with a crew from the RAAF or New Zealand Air Force. When his farther's plane was lost there was only one person known to come out of it alive; the pilot who was from New Zealand. What I'm looking for now is a person or office we can contact with all the information we have to see if we can find out anything about the crew and perhaps more on this person's farther. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

We were a professional group of musicians and singers who served >in Vietnam at various times from 1968-1972. We were not a USO outfit. We >lived off the local economy. We had no US or Australian base or travel privileges. Unlike the official USO entertainers in Vietnam, my group stayed in Vietnam for up to a year at a time. We travelled all over the Nam, from the DMZ to the Delta, by air and by road, often without a military escort. I would like to hear from Veterans who remember the Alpha Omega. I am also seeking copies of photographs and any other material Veterans may have of my group. Because of our unofficial status, the contribution >made by my group and others to the War effort in Vietnam has not been recognised - at least in Australia.
