Pictures of the Memorial

Here are four recent pictures of the Memorial submitted by Doug Maston. They were taken at a wreath laying ceremony on Memorial Day, 1996. The Secretary of the Army, Togo West was scheduled to lay the wreath, but his plane was fogged in at National Airport in D.C. Instead, the Commanding General of Fort Bragg, NC (Lt Gen John M. Keane) laid the wreath. These photos are .jpg files.

These pictures were taken in January of 1995. They show the memorial during the winter months of the year. Although the grass is in it's winter colors, the contrast of the red brick of the memorial and the "sleeping" lawn compliment each other very well.
