Message is: In Febuary of 1962 there was an epidemic of hepatitis involing over 90 men on the USS Providence CLG-6 while the ship was doing a 2 year duty as Com7thfleet in Yokosuka, Japan. At the time the hepatitis was called infectious hepatitis. However in 1995 I found out I have HEPATITIS C. This is a very dangerous form of hepatitis and can lead to liver cancer or cirrhosis over a period of time.
