Message is: Bob was in Corps School at Great Lakes in 1965. Following graduation he was sent to St Albans NY where he stayed until October 1966 when he was sent to Camp LeJeune NC for FMF training. He was then sent to Vietnam where he served with 2/5/1st MarDiv as their corpsman. He came home to Niagra Falls NY in Feb 67 and was then sent to Camp Pendleton to finish out his tour. Message is: I am ISO Kenneth Bender because he is my father. My mother had hid me from him after she told him about me. She went so far as to move us out of state because she married someone else. My father lived at my grandmothers house until I was about a year old in Royal Oak MI. Kenneth Bender was a red head with curly hair, hazel blue eyed, approximately 5ft 5in, medium build. He was well built. He also has identifying tattoos on his arm and opssibly one on his chest I am not sure that heis originally rfom MI because I have tried that route and no match came up. He received military benefits after leaving the navy. He had tried to re-enlist but was denied due to the end of the war and he may have had a hearing problem. He received the benefits when he lived at my grandparents house in Royal Oak MI. My grandparents are real elderly and in very poor health. My grandmother doesn't even remember him living there but my uncle's do. My father was my grnadfather's best friend but my grandfather became a serious alcoholic which resulted in my father leaving. Where he went from there, no one seems to know. My mother never told me much. I do have a picture of him from when he was in the navy. I can attatch it to an e-mail if need be.
