Life is good and then it's bad,
It takes nothin', it takes everything you have;
But you gotta keep goin', keep pushing ahead,
For you are not yet counted among the dead.

Memories, memories of friends gone before,
Of death every day in that damn war;
You gotta keep goin', living for your friends,
All you can do is keep goin', live 'til the end.
