K-9 Reference Library

By Herb Mullican Jr.

I am a former USAF Security Police K-9 handler/trainer. Since my discharge, I have been researching techniques to enhance the capabilities of military working dog teams. During the course of this research, I have compiled what I've been told is one of the most comprehensive collections of reference material on this subject in the United States. It presently consists of over 40,000 pages of text (articles and technical reports), 87 books, and 74 videotapes.

I have also developed a bibliographic database. The database identifies and cites known reference materials (police publications, films, books, magazine articles, military publications, and technical reports) on police and military dogs as well as some related subject areas. The database presently contains almost 3,000 citations. If I can be of any help to anyone in locating reference materials, please feel free to get in touch with me.

Recently, I published a book to assist people in locating this type of information. The title of the book is, "A Guide To The Technical Literature On Police And Military Working Dogs." You will find a detailed description of the book, along with ordering instructions, located on my Website at:
