A stack of C-ration boxes was often the make shift alter for religious services in the jungles of South Vietnam. This “Chaplains Monument” added in the summer of 2006 gives honor to all the Chaplains and Rabbis who provided services for the Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen serving in wartime Vietnam at a time when they especially needed spiritual guidance. The verse quoted on the bible shown gives an eerie description of a place and a time near & dear to all Vietnam Veterans.
