Message is: Lost luggage with addresses & photos in Camh Ran as I left country. Memories flash back, many gaps, have not done this before, afraid to wake the dragons. We served on a sand hill logger site overlooking rice patties, shot into duck herds for duck dinners. Had a shitter facing the main trail from the vill in one logger site. Entered Herd with L. Wallace, R. Hart,W. Watson.Did mine sweep duty on road with engineers. Choppers dropped us in the mountains & 6 of us LP'd, OP'd & set up ambushes working our way back to the logger site. Wrestled a grenade away from a Lambretta driver once. Roasted a pig with Hazard. Cost us $50 each for piglet & it's future offspring. Had 2 dogs, L.P. & H.E in one logger. Doc Red. Slept outside LZUplift doing security at night for tanks during a Rome plow op along highway. Shot at by GIs in a jeep. Would not let my team shoot back at them. N Smith took photo, 8' python churned up by bull dozer. Fragged many a spider hole. Ambush on Xmas 70, cease fire then, but we went out anyway. Had jumpy E-6 along, blew the ambush after GI's walked thru our site to get back in with rest of company.
