Message is: My father was an Australian Army advisor in Vietnam during 1967-1968. His name was Warrant Officer Brian Donald Clark. He was stationed with two US Army advisors Lt Dick McCann and Sgt Tommy Hulcom?? in the region of Khe Phu when their base was attacked on the 13th of December 1967 by a a large VC force. Both US Advisors were badly wounded and my father tended to them while defending their position. My father was awarded the Military Medal for Bravery by the Australian government and i understand he was awarded the Bronze Star for bravery by the US Army. However, at that time the Australian government would not allow soldiers to accept decorations from other nations. This attitude has now changed and as my father has passed away i iam trying to find evidence of his Bronze Star citation so that i may apply for it for my family. If i can find Dick McCann i am hoping he may be able to shed some light on this action.
