Message is: Gary was a hell of a good man. He was from one of the Dakotas if my memory is correct. I was his Platoon Sgt. I left AnKhe in Oct 1967. My then Platoon Leader got in touch with me in 1981. He told me that him, Douglas Wayne Gregory, (NC) and myself were all that was left of our old platoon. I have never been able to find any trace of Gary through any means I've thought of. Much less verify that Gary Woessner was KIA. I would very much like to resolve this, hopefully to find him alive and be reunited. This guy was like a brother to me. He had dark wavy hair, a "chunky" build, about 5'9" and 155 lbs. (back then) Oh yeah, and dimples when he smiled.

We went on to airborne training,and was assigned to fort bragg.
