Message is: Thomas Upton Horton was born & lived on the old home farm at Hurdle Mills, North Carolina until he & his wife retired from school teaching & they moved to her old home area in exteme SW North Carolina. We were both serving on the tiny Island of Mokumoa a very short distance from Fort Shafter near the north edge of Honolulu in 1945 when WWII ended. We kept in touch every year at Christmas time until 1999 & have lost contact since that time. His wife passed away during the 1990's as I recll. He had a brother who lived nearby when I visited him & his wife about 1960 at their country home nearby Hurdle Mills but I never met him.
