Message is: I am searching for my adopted father. The last time I saw him was around 1972 while he was on leave from Vietnam. The last know information about him was that he retired from the Army and possibly joined the National Guard. He was born December 6, 1942 in Durham, NC. I believe his stepmother still lives in Southern Florida. Some known bases he was stationed are Ft. Eustis, Ft. Benning and his last base being in Colorado. His nationality is Panamanian and he may be living in the state of Texas or Virginia. I have been searching for my father for many years with no success. The last time I heard any news regarding him is that he was in poor health and having flashbacks from Vietnam. Though I have few memories of this man, he is the only man I have ever consider my father and I would very much like to find him and let him know how much I have thought about over the years and how much I still love him. Message is: I'd like to find anyone who served with my husband Michael S. Kephart. He was stationed in Ft. Lewis, WA, then went to Viet Nam in 1966. He was shot in the leg, went to Japan, got malaria before he was to be sent home. Got sent back to Viet Nam, dropped into a heavy fire fight, 2 hrs later got hit again, went to Cambra(?) Bay for a couple of weeks, got malaria again. Got sent back to the field again, (unlucky in that aspect), but made it home after getting malaria 2 more times. I do remember him telling me that his Sgt name was Sgt. Hoops. If anyone remembers Mike, please contact us, he said there wasn't very many people he knew that made it back, alot of unlucky souls. Message is: It's been about 35 years since I've seen Fuller. We served together mainly at Lai Khe, Vietnam in 1967 with D Company 1st Combat Engineers Battalion. In civilian life he was a forest firefighter in Sonoma, CA. (Not sure about Sonoma. It could be Sonoma County). He was an amateur boxer. Anyone knowing Fuller would remember him carrying a 9 mm authentic German Luger pistol that he was very proud of. He was one of the men who pulled me out from under a fallen rubber tree and carried me by stretcher to the LZ so I could be put on a dust-off. He would never talk much about his time there, so we know very little. Sadly, my father died 5 years ago from lung cancer associated with Agent Orange poisoning. I don't know exactly what I'm trying to find out. Perhaps speak to someone that knew him then, find out what kind of man he was then, if he was well liked, or if anyone else that served with him has suffered from the same affliction. I believe that he lost some stripes just before leaving the army due to a very personal matter. Message is: Would like to hear form anyone who went to Vietnam in Aug 65 with the 14th Trans Bn. - left from Forest Park, GA; anyone who was with the 339th Trans Co. Aug 65 to Sept 66. Both units were in Nha Trang. Would also like to hear from anyone who was with the 241st Trans Co, in Long My Valley between May 68 and May 69. When I got there the 241st was the only unit in the valley. I was Company Clerk in 14th Trans Bn's HHC orderly room when we got to Vietnam and later - when they discovered I could not type to save my life - I went over the 339th's supply section on the air field - EDP Section. I was the Supply Sergeant and 1st Platoon's Platoon Sergeant for the 241st from May 68 to May 69. When I arrived at the 241st, it was the only unit in the valley. The Qui Nhon Depot moved in several months later. Anyone remember those days?

Message is: For the past year, off and on, I have been trying to find Mickey Cato. He was a cook in our unit. I was a fire direction specialist. He and I used to hang out together when I wasn't on radio watch. We also played a lot of chess when we were not on duty. I left Vietnam at the end of April in 1968 and Mickey had at least 5 to 6 more months in country. I remember him telling me he was from Menlo Park, CA.
