Message is: I am looking for a man we called Lettie. No one can recall if this was his first, last or a nickname. He took an AK47 round right over the heart in an ambush in the 505 valley just northeast of LZ Uplift. This was March 17, 1968. I was the first medic to work on him and never knew if he made it until the first reunion I attended with 1/50th at KC in 1999. He was the FO's RTO so we suspect he was not 1/50th but from our artillery support. No one can recall who our support was as of yet. It has been a long time and memory dims.
