Message is: Would like any information regarding Bill Prather, any stories of him during his tour and any information on the activities of 12 Sept 1968, the day his was killed by small arms fire. His MOS was 11C4. I know that 11 is infantry, perhaps indirect fire support, but I don't know what the C4 represents. Sept 1968 was the third push of the Tet Offensive. He was at Tay Ninh province, close to the Cambodian border. Was he at a Firebase? If so, which one and in what capacity? Could he have been in an SRP (Short Range Patrol)? I went to school with Bill. Although ours lives crossed ever so briefly, he has never left my heart. He never knew what a lasting warm loving impression he made on me. I have tried to contact classmates, but we are scattered and no one seems to know anything about Bill. He deserves more than that. Thank you.
