Message is: I am DESPERATELY looking for B Troop 1/9th 1st air Cav men (BLUES) that recovered the remains of Capt. Donald Burnham and his crew, Joe Pringle, Joe Puggi, Ken Patton, Charles "Bud" Adkins. Time of Huey crash was 2-2-68. Recovered crash site (wood cutter helped find them) was mid May '68. Then Major Jimmy Weeks was the CO and sent the recovery team out. The crash was approx. 12-15 north of DaNang, near the Hai Van Pass. (they believe). They hit the side of the penninsula leaving Camp Evens enroute toChu Lai.Traveling above Hue, they encountered massive wind and dense fog with rain. Flying along in a different Huey was Capt. William L. Clark. Clark made it safely to Chu Lai, stopping in Da Nang to try and find them, with no success. I need to find ANYONE that can help me with approximate coordinates of this crash!! The JTFFA has been around the area with no luck, and we need to find someone to help us before this case goes on the back burner. There were very few remains that were found, burnt weapons, a boot still laced, and ONE dog tag of Joe Pringle. Seems there was a "creek bed" perhaps near by. Also, when the team went to recover, it seemed they crashed just one story below the top of the hill, an LZ was set on the top with easy time to get to site. Site was in dense undergrowth, and was scattered around for about 30 meters. The transmission was still there. With #, 6616442, the tail boom was also in/on site as that's how they identified the chopper. The reports state Burnham was "left of course" seconds before the crash. I have much info on this, and if ANYONE can remember these fine men, PLEASE contact me ASAP!!. We need to find their remains and let the families rest. Thank you........Suzy

They are all MIA's and have been missing since 8-24-67. Their plane went down in the Se San River near Kontum. According to reports and an unclassified document in 1971 a Vietnamese prisoner stated he saw 4 men in chains at that time in Kontum being lead to prison. Also Mrs. Allard claims to have seen her son in a war clip and saw him in person at a POW camp. A claim that the government denies. I went to school with his daughter and I know his widow very well, she was the secretary there. Also his brother was my Principal. And his other brother my football coach. His MOS was 11C20. KIA May 1970 in Cambodia apparently by a landmine, mortar, rocket, or grenade attack. He is dark complected, probably tall and thin with straight, jet black hair. Message is: I am looking for anyone who may have any information or might have known my father. I was 2 years old and my sister was 10 days old when he left for Vietnam. Currently we have come in contact with one person but he never returned any calls after visiting. I do not know if this man was a fraud or if he really cared. All I know is that my father's name was William R. McKibben. He was a pilot in the 189th unit in the army(Ghost Riders). His rank was captain. He was supposedly killed on a pass while covering medics on the ground. All I know is that the military knew the location of my father afterwards but did not give this information to my family until 5 months later. There is little information about my father's death and I and my sister have a lot of questions. If you or anyone might have known my father please feel free to contact me.
