Message is: I am trying to find anyone who served in this area. I was a welder and served part of my time in fire bases. I am now suffering from a form of memory loss and need help from other vets that may have been there. I am trying to service connect and was verified to have PTSD by vetern comp. doctors in 1994. They say I must prove stressors, I must find someone that was there with me. This is hard for me with memory loss so I am requesting help from anyone that was there. I was stationed at Chu Chi main base camp, I was sent to what were known as fire bases, the only one I can recall was Voss. They were close to the Cambodian border.

Message is: Fred & I lived in Columbus, Georgia, and went to high school together at Hardaway High. Fred lived with his parents and had an older brother. He also had a small dog named "Pepsi." He lived across Mooney's Lake from me. We had some mutual friends named Wayne Smith and Bryce Kelly. Fred was drafted in 1969 and stationed at Ft. Rucker, Alabama for helicopter training. From there, he went to Vietnam. After he returned in the Fall of 1971 he visited me in Wichita Falls, Texas. He told me at that time, that he was going to be stationed at Ft. Carson, Colorado. That is the last contact I had with my friend, Fred. I would really like to renew my contact with him as I consider him one of my oldest friends and have missed him over the years. Any help that can be provided, will be greatly appreciated.
