Ambush - Black on Green

Black on Green,
Black on Green,
the darkest trees,
and on the ground,
and in between;
Men Wait ...

Men Wait ...
Men Wait ...

Frozen men,
Statue men;
shallow breath,
hear your blood,
heart bump bump
adrenaline pump.
A drop of sweat
down the inside thigh,
( slowly - slowly ),
to the knee.
Eyes - Ears - Mind
- Blank,
All listen - watch,
Frozen humming statues.

Birds stop ...
No buzz ...
insects watch,
men listen ...
hearts pound behind eyes bulge,
breath stops ...

(Jungle change ...
Freeze - Blend,
Wait ...)

A different green -
on - black - on - green ...

(Something ...)

Something green - on - black -
on - green,
on - green ... Wait ...

Something explodes,
Something slams.
Something screams.
